FAQs

What's the difference between a £70 chest and a £300 one?
Mostly carcass material and drawer construction: thin board with hardboard backs and plastic runners at the budget end; solid wood or thick MFC, dovetailed drawers and metal runners further up. The specification tells you more than the photo.
Do chests of drawers need to be wall-anchored?
Yes if children are around — tip-over is a real hazard and most manufacturers now include an anti-tip strap or bracket. Check the listing mentions a wall fixing kit, and use it.
Will a chest of drawers arrive assembled?
Most online listings at the value end are flat-pack; pre-assembled chests cost more to deliver and are typically two-person deliveries. The retailer's listing states which — we link straight to it.
